Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 3, 2026

1. The service

Rainbow Transit ("the service") is an independent tracker that displays live and scheduled arrival information for RTD Denver trains and buses using RTD's public GTFS and GTFS-Realtime feeds. Rainbow Transit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Regional Transportation District (RTD) or the City and County of Denver.

2. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

3. Accounts

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Accuracy of transit information

Arrival predictions, vehicle positions, and alerts are provided by RTD's data feeds and are displayed as-is. Transit data can be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate — especially during disruptions, weather events, or feed outages.

Always verify times with official RTD sources before making travel decisions. Rainbow Transit is not liable for missed connections, delays, or any other consequences of relying on the information shown.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, overload, or interfere with the service or its data feeds.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to access accounts or data that do not belong to you.
  • Misrepresent the service as an official RTD product.

6. Intellectual property

The Rainbow Transit name, design, and original content belong to us. RTD route names, colors, and schedule data remain the property of their respective owners and are used under RTD's open data terms.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rainbow Transit and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including missed trips, lost time, or lost wages — arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

9. Changes to the service or terms

We may modify or discontinue the service at any time. We may update these terms; continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law principles.
